Worked on Life today, which shot in Long Beach.

It was a super easy day. It was a re-shoot of a scene they had done before. The actors for the show weren't there, they just needed their stand ins.

I sat in my car all day and read. So it was super super easy. 

umm... nothing really exciting happened. Except that this weird guy who I don't remember some how knew my name. Which is weird. 

Maybe we met on a set before, but still it's weird when someone who you don't remember knows your name.

Also he was kind of a strange guy.

Which doubled the creepy.

Tomorrow I have to drive back to long beach to work Dexter. 

Which means I need to go put more gas in the car. Gas average here right now is about $4.67.

The 4th

I tagged along with Alfie for the 4th. I would have rather made my own plans and whatnot... but shit happens.

We went to this AMAZING house in Pasadena. Seriously, this place was incredible. It was on this hill overlooking... I don't even know... the valley maybe? Anyhoo.... You could see for miles and miles and it was incredible. 

We hung out in the pool most of the day, then we all played Taboo. Which I failed at. Just fail. I don't want to talk about it.

Then we moved on to catch phrase... which was did slightly better at.

Afterwards we all ate, then went to the roof to watch fireworks.

Again. Amazing. 

We could see at the very least 20 different fire work shows going on all around us. There was also one that was really close to us too, which was great. 

One day I am going to have my own mansion in Pasadena... or I will just live in a shitty box the rest of my life. 

Either works.

FUCK THE BACHELORETTE

I was a paid audience member for The Bachelorette today. 

It was TERRIBLE. 

Seriously AWFUL. 

They told us our call time was 2:30, so I got there at about 2:15 (we are suppose to report to set about 10 minutes early as just kinda a rule).

They put us all in a line outside of the studio to wait to go in. We stood in line in over 100 degree weather with NO shade and NO place to sit for 2 and a half hour before they finally let us into the studio.

They also took our cell phones away form us right when we got there GUARANTEEING that I would not be able tog et work for tomorrow (Central posts most of it's stuff at 2:30).

Then when we went in and they sat me in  the back row in the corner (the worst seats even though I was one of the first 20 people in line). So I probably won't even be seen on camera at ANY point.

Also they had a "wait list" for the bathroom so I wasn't able to go for over 4 hours. 

It was HORRIBLE.

I am INCREDIBLY sunburnt.

And I almost threw up and passed out from the heat.

As a result of today I am going to boycott The Bachelor. 

I'm sorry... you can't just treat people like that. We may be part of the "scenery" for the show... but we are still living breathing human beings and The Bachelor completely ignored that.

I'm going to write NBC or whatever company owns that show... and I am NEVER going to watch it again and encourage others not to.

FUCK the bachelorette. 

By far THE WORST day here so far.

Hella, Malibu and Melrose

Saturday night I hung out with a girl I met on set. We went to this party (ended being only 6 people... and only guys). All the people there were from Northern California and every other word out of their mouths was "hella". This is probably the worst word ever. It was super annoying to hear all night. I donno. There's just something about it that makes the person saying it just sounds like a total and complete tool.

And no body likes tools.

Nobody.

Sunday:

Went to a beach in Malibu with. It was really really pretty. We were watching some of the surfers which was fun, and then we decided to go into the ocean and whatnot. Got carried away by a few waves but it was all good.

Then we decided that we wanted sushi so we typed that into the Garmon, and it tooks us to this crazy place which we had to drive through Tapanga canyon to get to (which was a really long drive through a canyon and up a mountain area)... and then the place ended up being expensive so we didn't eat there and headed to a place down the street from me. But it was an adventure, and prompted some good conversations about Boy Meets World.

Oh Cory and Tapanga, what an amazing couple you were.

Monday:

Today Hillary and I went shopping on Melrose. It was fun for a while and there were some really cool shops, but after a while everything all kinda started to look the same. Tye dye is back in... who knew?

And now I am watching Mean Girls.

Tomorrow I am going to be a paid audience member for The Bachelorette. I guess it's going to be some sort of reunion show or something. That's the only reason I think that they need to have an audience. 

And yeah... a lot of audiences for TV shows are payed extras. Like Deal or No Deal. The audience for that is all people who are paid to be there. 

AND you know those commercials for movies where they show people who have just seen the movie saying "It was great! I loved it! I would go see it again!"

... paid actors.

Hollywood is so fake.

But I kinda love it.

Suit Life again

Wed, Thurs, and Fri I worked Suit Life again. 

Thursday was a super short day, only about 3 hours.

Friday we shot the rest of the show. There was a classroom scene that we did, I was next to Cole and behind Dylan so I will probably be in the shot, and then we shot the rest of the show in front of the studio audience. 

When the audience is there, there is alway a guy who kinda keeps them entertained in between shots. This week the guy who was entertaining them just went on pretty much a sexist rant. He was saying things like "all you young women in the audience better listen to your moms so that you learn how to cook and set a table". Then he brought out a football and started saying "Ok, well all the boys know what this is... but the girls don't" or "The boys can catch this.... but the girls can't".

He just went on and on, and it really really started to bother me. He was talking to a bunch of little kids... you just don't say stuff like that. The rest of the girls and I were really irked by him.

Anyhoo because next week is the 4th, Suit Life is taking a week off. This means I have to find my own stuff through central or Sande Alessi for next week.

blah blah

Not much going on this week.

I couldn't find any work for Monday or Tuesday. The rest of the days this week I am working on The Suit Life again. 

...it kinda looks like they are gonna call us back every week for that show, which I am super ok with. I'm featured background on the show (so I am seen on camera a lot) and it pays a lot more then other jobs (not much over time... but I'm fine with that).

Other then that life is boring.

I want to see walle this weekend!

Lots-o-Stuff

Fence Walker:

This was Thursday night. I really didn't want to work this one because:

a. I wasn't feeling too hot

b. I knew it would be a cattle call and I wouldn't exactly be missed

c. I had a morning call the next day

d. The shoot was super far away

...so I called my calling service to see if I could get out of it, but they wouldn't let me cancel. 

It took me 2 hours in rush hour traffic to drive to the site. I ended up being half an hour late because of all of the traffic.

I got there.... waited around for an hour and a half, and then we finally started shooting.

We spent literally 10 hours shooting the SAME 60 seconds of dialouge. It was rediculous. I thought it was THE STUPIDEST thing ever and the biggest waist of time. 

The cast couldn't even get their lines right. I guess I could understand when it was early in the evening. But after 10 hours of saying THE SAME EXACT LINES some of them STILL couldn't get it right.

It was rediculous. 

So I got out of there at 5:00 in the morning (even though they probably had everything they needed by 1:00am). I drove to the disney studios and slept in my car for about 2 hours.  After that it just got too hot in the car for me to be in there anymore, so I drove to starbucks and got coffee, and got a redbull. 

Suit Life:

We actually shot the thing this time (Friday). We started with rehearsals, and then started shooting. 

Around 3:45 they brought in the live studio audience which was really fun. For the first few hours they seemed really enthusiastic and that was fun, but after a while I could tell they were kinda getting tired, and their energy dropped.

It was kinda cute though cause when the audience was there the twins would kinda show off and try to act super cool, like kids do when they wanna show off.

Really don't have much to say about the shoot other then that I learned from one of the regular extras that everyone was super glad that Ashley Tisdale left the show. I guess she was super spacey and hyper and would slow the shooting process down. Also they were saying that she was a bitch. 

I love learning gossip like that.

I am hoping that they call us back to do that show again because I had a lot of fun working on it. The cast and crew on that show were super nice, and also it's an AFTRA show so it is a higher pay.

Hollywood Improv:

Went to this last night with Hillary. It was really great to see her again.

The comics were hit or miss. Some were really great, but others were just terrible. Although that may have had to do with the fact that it was a very small crowd so there wasn't a lot of energy in the room. 

The headliner that night, I can't remember his name, started off pretty good... but towards the end he just made the show super super depressing. It was just really really awkward to watch.

But still... I had fun, and it was something that I hadn't done before.

Hillary and I also decided that we are going to go to Disney together. 

I am pumped.
