Last Days

Stay Cool:

This shoot took place on Wed.

The scene we were shooting was a graduation scene, and I was one of the graduating students. It was another cattle call day... over 300 people.

We shot the scene outside and it was INCREDIBLY hot, and the graduation robes really didn't help. Well I guess they helped me not get burnt, so maybe they weren't so bad.

The shoot actually wasn't that bad. There were also a lot of celebrities on the shoot that day too.

I was positioned two people away from Hillary Duff. She talked to a little group of us that were around her about the earthquake. So that was cool. Also Josh Holloway was there and said hey to me and a few other girls. And that made me really happy.

Chevy Chase, Winona Ryder, and Sean Astin were there too.

Pretty.... pretty cool day.

I was in a group of people who were asked to come back the next day, but I didn't feel like driving all the way to where they were shooting again and I had already booked House for the next day.

House:

Worked this Thursday and Friday.

It was pretty much the same as when I worked it the first time. Although this time I was a doctor. I wore a white coat and felt super super special.

umm... really not much to say about the set. The guy who was dealing with the background was an ass, like the time before.

House just seems to take itself very very seriously. Everyone on the set is really professional, which is nice. But at the same time most sets are a little more relaxed and that just makes the day seems more fun.

Oh well.

There was one funny story on Thursday. Cell phones are not allowed on set and the guy who was handling us said that anyone with a cell phone that was on would be sent home. So 2 hours after this announcement was made some guy's cell phone goes off while they are in the middle of filming a scene in the set right next to our holding.

Instead of just turning the phone off and apologizing, this guy decides the best thing to do would be to try and cover the sound with his coat.

This doesn't work so well.

This guy gets the brilliant idea that is he makes MORE noise that it will cover up the sound of the cell phone and no one will know his phone went off. So he starts flapping his arms (I don't know why this helps) and coughing like crazy and stomping as he runs out of the sound stage.

Probably the funniest thing that I have seen happen on set.

The AD tracked him down, and he got to stay. But he wasn't called back for the next day.
I was cause I am super special like that and TOTALLY look like I am old enough to be a doctor. I don't look like I am 16 at all.

Yup.

Definitely look old enough to be a doctor.

But hey. I am not complaining. Work is work.
And now I'm done for the year.

Heading back to Chicago tomorrow.

Is it true that Sean Astin is playing a 300-lb gay guy? Did you see him in "costume"?

I did see him in costume. Although I can't say for sure if he was playing a gay guy or a woman...

His character's name is Big Girl (found that out from a PA). I'm not sure if he is suppose to play a gay guy, or a really ugly woman. But he is one of the 2.

He had on woman's pants and sandals with a kind of a purse and a blond poof of hair on top of his head.

He didn't look 300-lbs though.
